2026 IAPD Scholarship – Eligibility Requirements
To apply for an IAPD scholarship, college-bound high school seniors and students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program must meet one of the following criteria:
- Be employed by an IAPD member company, or
- Be a child of an employee of an IAPD member company, or
- Be enrolled in a professional sales program (major, minor, or concentration).
Additional Requirements
- Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted).
- Submit a 500-word (one-page) essay describing one performance plastic item that you use daily that enriches or impacts your life. Performance plastics are not single-use plastics. They are long-lasting plastic materials that replace metal, wood, and other materials in critical applications. They may be strong, lightweight, flexible, durable, and environmentally friendly. - Provide a current transcript.
- Submit the addendum page of the application.
Application Rules
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
- All information submitted will be kept confidential and used only to evaluate the scholarship application.
- Applicants are not eligible to receive an IAPD scholarship two years in a row.
Evaluation Criteria
Applications are reviewed and graded on the following factors:
- Academic achievement
- Extracurricular activities
- Essay content and presentation
- Financial need
